Four Gospels reveal who is Jesus

Matthew writes: An angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream, saying, "Joseph, son of David, do not fear to take Mary your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit;  she will bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus (the Everlasting is salvation), because Jesus is the Saviour (1,21).

Mark begins his Gospel with these words:

"The beginning of the Gospel of Jesus-Christ, the Son of God".

Again the high priest asked him, "Are you the Christ, the Son of the Blessed?" And Jesus said, "I am; and you will see the Son of man seated at the right hand of Power, and coming with the clouds of heaven."   (14,61.62).

During the Transfiguration (Theophany), in the presence of three apostles, Jesus is named the "beloved Son" of the Father.

The Torah (the Law), represented by Moses, and the prophets, represented by Elijah, are also there to testify of his divinity  (Mark 9,2-10).

John reports the testimony of John the Baptist :

"I have seen and I have borne witness that this is the Son of God" (1,34).

A woman said to Jesus:

"I know that Messiah is coming (He who is called Christ); when he comes, He will show us all things" and Jesus said to her: "I who speak to you, am He" (4, 25,26).

John transmits to us what Jesus said on himself:  "Before Abraham was, I am" (8,58).

The Supremacy of Christ

"He is the image of the invisible God, the first-born of all creation; for in him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or authorities -- all things were created through him and for him.

He is before all things, and in him all things hold together.

He is the head of the body, the church;

he is the beginning, the first-born from the dead,

that in everything he might be pre-eminent.

For in him all the fulness of God was pleased to dwell, and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether on earth or in heaven, making peace by the blood of his cross" (Colossians 1, 15-20).

Jesus says:

Who do the people say that I am?

Who do you say that I am?

I am the ressurrection and the life, do you believes this ?

Do you love Me?

Here are some answers:

Yes Lord, I believe that you are the Christ, the Son of God, he who is coming into the word (Martha);

Lord, to whom shall we go, you have the words of eternal life (Peter);

Lord, you know everything; you know that I love you; You are the Christ (Messiah) of God (Peter);

Rabbi, you are the Son of God! the King of Israel (Nathanael).

What do we answer Him?
